Wont start sometimes especially when cold. Battery still has full power. Car won't start sometimes. Put ignition on and after the glow plug light disappears ,turn the key and the speedo and rev counter go right round to max and sounds like a click as if battery has died or 2006 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Ghia.

After no more than 30 miles, it started to cut out on motorway, I kept having to bump it off. Then as I was leaving the motorway it shut down fully and wont re start. I have also just had the electronic actuator refurbished as that was faulty before. I have read the codes and got P0251.

To start, you need 300 bar rail pressure, a crank/cam correlation signal to fire injectors and good battery voltage. I suspect you have all of these and the injectors aren't doing anything. I've seen it time and time again with customers supplying their own injectors, I've fitted them and a no start result.

If you have the 12v at that wire the solenoid is the most likely fault. If you don't have 12v at the small wire, you need to get a wiring diagram for the truck. You then have to follow the circuit back to find out where you do have 12v and where it stops. It could be a relay, the ignition switch or any wire in between.
I have a 2010 mondeo 2.0 tdci titanium, lastnight i put £60 of diesel in it which gives it 3/4 of a tank after driving about 20 miles the fuel light comes on and says there is no fuel on the gauge . The car ran perfect for approx 10 miles back home , got in it this morning and it started fine and still said no fuel so made my way to work which 1YklV.
