The brake works fine when it does engage - almost too well as there is no proportional control unlike a conventional handbrake - either off or on! AudiA5 Strange Noise. It is indenpendent of engine speed or transmission. It makes same sound whether the clutch is in or out. It comes on around 30mph and becomes very noticeable when coasting to stop always the worst near 30mph mark. Once the car warms up, the noise disappears. The temperature in Chicago has been around 805Nc.
